Crump Posted April 28, 2009 Report Posted April 28, 2009 Tired of the pioneer rca problem, guys at the local shop believe its the H/U. So i have been looking around for a head unit with 3 4V Rca outs. And I think i have found the one. Anyone ever have good experience with this H/U. Want to make sure before i request the paypal cash. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_11767_...+KDC-X492.html# Team gg Team doa Installs I have doneMy 2010 Rebuild 144 db so far....2 DC xl 10s Firing into cabin on a RF 25002 12" AQ HD's powered by a Saz 2k + Lots o Mids+Highs
Shyne151 Posted April 28, 2009 Report Posted April 28, 2009 You do know the pioneer rca ground loop is an easy fix right? Piece of wire to the chasis of the radio and one to the RCA's(the outter part)... The 492 is a good unit though, it is last years model. -Installer for Duke's Car Stereo 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix - Ported Eaton M90 S/C, 3.5" pulley, XS Power Headers, 1.9 Rockers, FWI, Poly Motor Mounts, Custom Tune. kylecm85 Posted April 28, 2009 Report Posted April 28, 2009 yeah i had the same prob with pioneer. But we carry kenwood at my shop and i have never had any problems out of them and the rca voltage is true to the specs. I think the 492 is a good unit for the money. 94 lincoln mark viii h/u: kenwood kvt 614 Excelon comps: alpine type x amps: mtx 1501d mtx 4004 sub:2 DC lv4 12 wiring jl audio 0awg 8 awg sub jl audio 4 awg for mid and highs amp myspace.com/kylecm85 carstereolexington.com

Yah we carry kenwood also(actually america's oldest kenwood dealer), I was just trying to save him some money. Truthfully I'll never go back to having a pioneer premier deck after having eXcelon in my car. -Installer for Duke's Car Stereo 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix - Ported Eaton M90 S/C, 3.5" pulley, XS Power Headers, 1.9 Rockers, FWI, Poly Motor Mounts, Custom Tune. Same price and features Just the newer model and looks better. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_11766_...n+KDC-X592.html Vehicle: 2001 Ford Escape Head Unit: Kenwood Kdc-x592 All out for a rebuild. Crump Posted April 29, 2009 Author Report Posted April 29, 2009 Thanks for all the input. I am going to try to ground all my Rca's with some speaker wire to the chassis. If that doesnt work than ill give that Excelon Kdc-x592. The one Zade showed looks good and its got the voltage i want.
