Ok currently running 5 amps(ones in my sig), 2 sub amps, 3 four channels...of an alpine 9886 with 2 sets of normal preouts, and one set of sub preouts...all 4v. Right now i have them ran into the input on one amp and then the preout from that amp to the next...iff you get that. So basically im using the preouts on the amps alot...how bad is the voltage gonna suck being split up that many time?

Would it help to look into a line driver or something along those lines?

it might help looking into a line driver, but, when i was running all my JL amps i had three 500/1 daisy chained together and didnt have any problems.

Are you experiencing any problems?

a line driver, or EQ with F/R/S outs with a specified voltage would be nice. Worked many times for me

but you are losing signal strength splitting it that many times, there should be more potential than what you are hearing now

I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.

Ok i dont really know much about line drivers but it looks like they put out around 8v...my alpines are only rated at 4v max input...am i going to hurt them but giving them 8v?

i have heard/read that putting to much output voltage to an amp can burn it up.

meh depends on the amps input range.

you can cook bacon shirtless if you're not a pussy...lol

not hatin, but am i wrong here it looks as if the amp is not grounded its hooked directly to the battery. it that the way it should be.

If your head unit Pre Amp is low, and your slpitting it that many times, u need a LINE DRIVER!! one from sound stream would be fine, and u can set the gain on the driver so it send a STRONGER RCA signal in which the signal will carry through all of your AMPS...

Don't see how your loosing much by doing in and out of amp... Should be same signal... If you split one side to amp and the other to another you will loose but.. Also most amps with take up to 9v preout voltage so 8v is pretty safe.. You will still see improvement in 8volts positively
