of course, i want it to be heard from far away with windows down of course lol, keep the sound in with windows up

1 4" wide aeroport or a 4" wide slotport?

A single 4" tube/aero port is FAR too small. You need more like 4 of them, or 1-2 6" aeros depending how much power you have and how you want it to sound.

for every 1 cube the box is after displacement you need a 4" aero port at a minimum

I don't agree with that at all. I have a 7.2 cube box with 6 4" aeroports and my setup is well into the 152 range off of 3400 watts. That is exactly 10.46 sqin per cuft and your suggesting that you need at least 12.56sqin per cuft when using an aeroport. Aeroports are much more efficient than a slot port and require much less port area than an acutal slot.

You know what, First off I take back the "at a minimum".

I meant it to be a general rule.

Trying to combat his single 4" aero for 5cuft.

In all honesty I use 1 6" aero per cube on big woofers

and for aero's being more efficient than slot.. I know that...lol

re box calc doesnt take into account the displacements of the sub and double baffle, that could change the tuning by a significant amount. Let me handle designing the box you chill, k? k
