sphinxbccp Posted June 4, 2009 Report Share Posted June 4, 2009 i have two alpine type r 15s, there about 3-4 years old, ive had them for around 3 1/2 years and been putting rms to them, havent had any problems till i got my blazer in october, after i put them in it, when it hits low bass the subs sound like they cut out, the protect light doesnt come on so i know its not the amp, when i play songs like late night tip an bass i love you they barely even move, they play parts of notes but kinda fade out then back in then back out. what could cause this? its kinda hard to explain so if you need more info ill try to provide it thanks! Rogers Posted June 4, 2009 Report Share Posted June 4, 2009 (edited) i had an old mtx road thunder 12 that was so worn out that the cone wouldnt even stay in its stock resting position... the cone just sagged down into the basked...lol.. your woofers are worn out,just like a 10 yearold floppy couch that some 400lb dude has sat on daily...lol time to get you some new type r's!!!
