I have a 94 Accord coupe that I'm about to put a bunch of audio gear into. What can I do besides air ride (too expensive at $4-5K). I've looked at coil overs and someone advised Function Form type 2 (he said Tein were too soft). I was also thinking about replacing the stock springs with units from a heavier Honda but Honda doesn't disclose their spring rates and I don't know what would fit. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

car audio is just a LOT more complicated than "this amp does this power" or "this sub will be this loud". its like 2 + 2 = banana. (if that confuses you then you get the point) lol

i had a toyota that did the same thing it droped the back down about 2 inches, i would say try new struts and just stiffer springs and go from there or just lower the front to match

they sell some spacers to put between coils on your sprince ( on struts or regular coil overs) at autozoem or other auto parts stores. they run about $10 to $20 it will give you about 1 1/2" to 2" cheap and it works great try that out guys.

they sell some spacers to put between coils on your sprince ( on struts or regular coil overs) at autozoem or other auto parts stores. they run about $10 to $20 it will give you about 1 1/2" to 2" cheap and it works great try that out guys.

B Slaps Yo Mama, thanks for the info! I'll have to look into those spacers! I don't think I've ever seen them before and I went to UTI and I work on Porsches and BMW's 5 days a week. You learn something new every day!

BDKS, to answer your question, the car is going to get 3 amps (one of them is 24" long), an Alumapro 15 farad cap, 200 amp solenoid, relays, 4 fans, one 33 pound 12" sub in enclosure, lots of 1/0 and 4 gauge wire, Dynamat everywhere, and lots of 3/4" and 1/2" MDF for the amp rack and sub enclosure. I'm keeping the spare tire too. Can you see why it's gonna sag now?

Yeah that is a lot of stuff but unless your suspension is completely shot you should be fine. If you really think you need it though there are plenty of suspension kits out there. Tein is nice and all but way too expension. You can easily find a set of 4 for between &200-500 (compared to the easy $1000 you can drop on Teins).

Subs are like titties, They need to come in pairs because ones and threes are just wrong, and larger amounts will always draw a crowd, we all have our favorite sizes, but the bigger ones are more fun to watch move. :D

Running with what Bslaps was talking about, those same blocks you can use to raise the back of your car can be used to drop the front, if you so desire. (I am planning on using this method to match the front/rear heights on my Grand Prix, since the rear spring [singular...transverse leaf FTL] seems to have a rate of about 5lb/in.)

I have never known someone that has actually used them to lift, but it seems to me that if you were to fully extend the suspension for whatever reason, they could fall out...I'm sure there is some kind of retention system on them though.
