New Nvidia Driver Released! Some Good Improvments!

Guys, new drivers posted! To those of you (Steve) who play Crysis warhead, there are some improvements in this driver for you. Here is a quick quote from techpowerup.com

" Application performance increments advertised are: up to 25% performance increase in The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena, up to 22% performance increase in Crysis: Warhead with antialiasing enabled, up to 11% performance increase in Fallout 3 with antialiasing enabled, up to 14% performance increase in Far Cry 2, up to 30% performance increase in Half-Life 2 engine games with 3-way and 4-way SLI, and up to 45% performance increase in Mirror’s Edge with antialiasing enabled."

If anyone feels up to it, try them out. FOR MAXIMUM PERFORMANCE MAKE SURE AMBIENT OCCLUSION IS TURNED OFF IN DRIVER PANEL!!!! That will rob you of many FSP in games. Actually there is so much to tweak in the drivers control panel, should I make a post on that too?

well, did they live up to there claims? Crysis warhead any smoother? At least something to justify installing them.

i'm about to reboot my comp from the install. but i'll never notice a difference uninstalled both crysis games and far cry 2. only game i really play on it now is left 4 dead, which already runs smooth. i'm eventually going to get fallout 3, but no comparisons

hmm.... ill have to load this up when i get home over the weekend. ive been meaning to get some footage up, maybe ill take a vid before and after to compare while im at it.
