newls1
Guys, Once I land my EMT job, I am going to be aggressively upgrading from my current setup. I will be using either 2 RF T20001db's (If I can find a pair at a good price, or 2 DAT 2500.1's) to power 4 18" 09 model BL's. My plan is to have a watercooling setup (Which im known for BTW) to cool the amps. I "THINK" I may have a way to cool the external housing of the amp with a water "block" and just think this will be fuc*ing sweet to set up. I will mount the radiator (MCR320, using 3 120mm fans Y.L SM's) either in the glove box, or somewhere else but I WILL TRY MY BEST to make this happen. I can't promise this will work, but if I can make it happen, i'm aming for a SOTM this time around. I Hate my current box (sounds great, but looks like a case of ass) and I know I can do better work then this! I'll keep you all posted when all this goes down (it will be a while) but when it goes down, it soundn't take to much time. Has anyone else watercooled amps here yet? brewer_brewer
i don't see a point in it if you set the amps up right. 01 S-10
Didn't bazooka used to have amps that were watercooled? Quote TDH FTW !!!
newls1
just to have it man! Adds to the "that is badass" effect. Quote I love my staffie So anti FACEBOOK it isn't even funny
Anotherguy
Bazooka did the liquid cooled amps a while ago, but it didn't really catch on. I think its a really cool idea. Go for it!

cunokyle
If you are going to water cool, you need to water cool the internals, not the case. newls1
let me elaborate a little more: I will be using a D5 waterpump 320GPH @ 45PSi Dead silent, and they are as reliable as a john deere. I use D5's in EVERY water PC i've built, NEVER 1 issue. I cant imagine what a "bazooka amp" was like with water, but im sure what im drawing up will be 100% different. The install will be very nice, and i'll use some of Petra's Pentosin blue coolant. Like I said, this is just "talk" now, but once I land my "real" job, This will be a real thing. HHR Ed
SQ guys used to do it alot in the early-mid 90s when companies were making large class AB amps. Most of the time it was converted PC cooling systems. Modern amps run cooler so no one really does it anymore.
