meade916 Posted June 22, 2009 Report Posted June 22, 2009 also, as stated before, if you put a screw in at an angle, unless you pull the foam back and out of the way, the head of the screw will scrape it on the way in and also when you take it back out. thats what it looks like to me.......and i have a few of those exact same marks......from going in at an angle (i sorta have to). Its easy to scrape it and not notice you scraped it till later so im guessing thats what happened. again, subs DO break sometimes but NOT like that..... Possibly Scott might say "Oh yah we also had a batch of surrounds that have this problem. Odd but true." Im not saying hes lying or not but let him and FI deal with it. cnate777 Posted June 22, 2009 Author Report Posted June 22, 2009 Meade I respect what you do but in this instance you are wrong....I have 15 people that were there watching the demo and they will say the same exact thing......my problem though while now it is ok the surround is tearing itself down each side of the surround....so here in the near future I am going to need a recone.....this all happened on Friday and now here I am on Monday and the Foam is still coming out....I just took a trip to the store and my sub had little pieces of foam in it...... If you want it fixed, I am sure Scott will be more than fair on getting it repaired. Email is the best contact. Just give him more than a few hours to respond.
