Direct Swap Hifonics Bxi2008 To Sundown Saz1500

Correct me if I'm wrong but if it doesn't sound as loud and you have less voltage drop wouldn't it make sense the 1500 is currently producing less power than the hifonics? Not knocking either product one bit, just seems to be the logical conclusion.

efficiency, how the amplifiers power supply handles the demand/load has everything to do with it, main goal for any system is to have efficient power, how the amp handles the transformation from dc to ac..converting any type of energy will produce heat, either electrical or physical force

I understand efficiency to some degree, I'm just wondering if less audible output + less amperage doesn't = less a/c output. I guess the only way to really answer what difference it made is on the T/L.

Wow, didnt even catch my typo..anyway hifonic AMP to power my alpine SUBS...that should make more sense..going to look into more but im thinkin itll sound alright atleast..just gotta get the enclosure

Well the last 2 days seems it got louder for some reason, no clue why... Hittin up TL wed hopefully so we'll see if the sundown keeps up with the hifonics being rated 500watts less... Also being more effecient while doing it... Will definatly be impressed...

Tough statment to make without a Termlab....

I disagree danny!!

not everybody puts their stuff on the lab, so what matters is how it sounds and how loud it SEEMS.

Termlab #s would be the only way to PROVE it is louder, but for the daily beater that mic doesn't mean much.

my truck wasnt that loud on the meter. i forgot it wa a 145 or 146 averaging music with a little bad start.

but it gets decently loud.
