cracker Posted June 21, 2009 Report Posted June 21, 2009 well i was out at my buddies painting my a pilars up we got to BSn some and i had a thought(as of now just a thought atleast) about making matching pods for the rear. i have a 98 bonneville and at the moment i dont have any rear speakers and wold like to keep the 6x9 openings open cuz my rear seats dont fold and it seems to give me a lil more oomph with the bass lol. was just wondering though if anybody has done this and have any pics, ideas or any input about this. i am not scared of glassin at all just lookin to see if anybody else has done it. reason im leaning towards goin for it is they would match the A pilars, color and all and i also like a bit of rear sound too. i havent taken any measurements or mockin up rings or anything yet. i would have to consider it might add a lil more of a blind spot when drivin and is why id think a 5 1/4s would work best. any ways lol any input would be appreciated. -DanK- March 2010 SOTM winner my old buildhttp://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/50219-dank-aka-crackers-bonne-new-v2-build-in-the-works-hahahaaaaaa/page__hl__crackers my youtube page - http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=jackiedan04#g/u my feedback - http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/56540-official-cracker-feedback/ i need tacos and bass to live!!!!! and will NEVER change hahaaaa TEAM NOIZE VIOLATION

cracker Posted June 21, 2009 Author Report Posted June 21, 2009 i know this is a suv but you can see the c-pillar pods at 8-9 seconds yup thats kinda what i was thinkin only just one speaker per side. and lanman31337 i only have 5 1/4s in the lower part of the doors(stock still lol) and 3.5s in my A pilars. it could be louder if i ever get funds for a little amp to push them lol but was thinkin about the rear pillars for a lil rear fill and i would paint to match the A pilars too. i just think it would look pretty nice compaired to if i just painted the rears without any speakers. im still undecided for sure lol but thanks for the feedback so far. i have some limits with what i can do with this car since its a daily rider and have kids so it needs to be functional, im thinkin way too much about it lol.
