well if i down grade to a 200 amp alt

and a 1400 in the nacl would that be enough

in yalls opinion what would be a perfect setup for 2200 rms?

honestly, biggest alt that fits, optima or hc1400 or something under the hood, and a d3100/khc2400 in the rear

i'd rather not have to worry at all....if you think "eh its probably enough" its probably not

I wouldn't want to go cheap on audio. It might fry and wouldn't last long. THe install you have should be fine on the electrical. I don't know if that amp truly do under-rate

honestly id be worried about blowing up the BL with 2200 watts

- American Bass 500.1

- 60 ft of 3/0

-480 Ah of battery

- (2) stock alternators (70 +90)

- Kenwood Excelon x-794, 4v preouts

car audio is just a LOT more complicated than "this amp does this power" or "this sub will be this loud". its like 2 + 2 = banana. (if that confuses you then you get the point) lol

i think you will be fine running that bro. if you can throw a HC2400 in the back instead of a HC1800 that'll work too. That 250 alt will keep up with that amp with no hesitation.

I have that amp. It'll do 2200 if it gets enough power. I have a Hc1400 under the hood, and 2 Hc600's in the back, 136 amp alternator and a mild MLA module, (along with 600 watts rms for mids/highs; My voltage is 14.6 and drops to 14.2v at full volume.

I think what you have posted would be more than enough for a 2200D.
