newls1
I'm checking out that card now, I have the evga e758 board, dominator 6gb ram (the 7 cas latency) and the i7 920 added to cart. Just need a card that's 249.03 so my total can be 999 dollars so I can use my newegg account and get no interest for 12 months so I don't have to pay it in one payment :-) it doesn't really have to be 250 dollar card, ill buy an hdmi cable or a cpu heatsink or something I may want. You still have to make MONTHLY PAYMENTS, it just that, that payment wont include any interest! Newegg used to offer 12 months NO INTEREST/NO PAYMENTS, but no longer! Just be careful. **EDIT** I just re-read what you typed, and I think I got it wrong........ You dont want to pay it in 1 payment, but rather multi small payments.... I got it... Slinky
i read a review that showed the extra video memory did nothing for frame rates, but that doesnt mean it wont come in handy for future games just sort through this review and see what i mean. http://www.guru3d.com/article/evga-geforce...792mb-review/10 DD M4 Rockford Fosgate P500-4 SoundQubed HDC415 w carbon fiber cap 2 Rockford Fosagate T1675-S XS Power D3400 Under Hood XS Power D5100 in rear Michael Singer 200A Alt Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/153901-2012-veloster-update-842013-wall-build-4-15s/

newls1
you did the right thing. I gained nearly 13% using a 1792MB version GTX275 @ 1900x1200 res with 16x af in fear2 compared to the same card but with 896mb ram. The ram wont make a game faster, but what the extra ram WILL DO, is makes sure the frame buffer (ram in this case) stores the data @ high res'es, and not off load to the system ram, and or caching the hDD. So what Im trying to say is this: If your monitor is of a large size (26" 28" 30", etc... and supports a high res of 1900x1200, or higher, the extra ram will help out nicely. If your monitor is of a smaller size, and has a res of lets say 1650x1050 for example, then the extra memory is WORTHLESS, and actually might even cause a rather LOW OC (if you OC the card that is) Does this help ya any? \ **EDIT** I have a GTX295 sitting right next to me that I have for sale. Shoulda hit me up, would make you a nice offer. I love my staffie So anti FACEBOOK it isn't even funny
pimpedout97x
I'm thinking of canceling that order and re ordering the 896. I have 2 23" lcds, I do have my 42" lcd but I won't be using that for gaming really... Then I have the projector which projects on to a 125" screen but won't be using that too much either. pimpedout97x
Yea, the 23" is 1920x1080, and so is my 42", as well as the projector.
newls1
you have either 2 options @ that high of a res. More video ram (in which case 1792 is MORE then enough) or 2 GPU's (My GTX295) I think you made the best choice personally unless you want to PM me and make an offer on the GTX295. Assuming you will be gaming with some high quality options enabled, and at that high of a res, a GTX295 would actually be the fastest, but your gtx275 with 1792 will get the job done.
