That's the same exact way my ZX3 is Rob. Except the resonant frequency of the car is 51hz, I just happen to be about 8hz below the freq and it's still loud so it's cool. I have a burp box that I'm going to be bringing out soon and it will be tuned to 44hz so we'll see if the freq jumps up or not. Maybe try side firing your subs and or port to try and raise the freq in your hhr.

cant side fire the 18's, would be too tall

im slowly working there, I tried tuning to 43hz and lost db, so im going with a smaller box
