Running Power Wire Under The Car

Hi guys,

i'm sure some of u guys run ur power cables under the car (maybe firrewall too small for the multiple runs of 1/0 gauge,

how do u guys protect the power cable from the environment/elements? snake skin?

also, most of the times, where do ur strap the wire to ? side skirts? in the middle of the ride?

I heard this is dangerous, But most people put a larger covering over the wire like u said.

yeah, i heard its dangerous, so wonder if any of u guys do it here? any tips?

I dont do it unless I have a hard pvc sleeve around it not always practical though....

USACI regs state that it has to be done that way in their rule book, I usually try to run it close to the center "hump" so its less noticable.

who said its dangerous? All you have to do is make sure its not touching anything that moves or gets hot. If you have airbagz then you want to make sure it doesnt scrape when you are laid out. Other than that what could possibly be dangerous?

Yea, I normally run mine under the car. It avoids having to pull up the carpet and pull seats and everything, because 1/0 sure as hell wont fit under the sills. I ran mine along the frame rails and up underneath the backseats. Works fine.

i ran my under my car and ran it threw the spare tire chamber, just take the spare out and drill a hole and wham bam der ya ya go lol
