Builder never intended to pay the closing cost and they bank wants a 5% down payment. We have a few backups, but they won't be near as big. We signed the contract saying he would pay closing. Well, he didn't sign. That meant we would have financed in $7,000. At the interest rate we got, that would put the monthly payment out of reach.
