I think of it as the virgin losing the virginity technique

not just jumping in to it, and pounding away, but going at it slowly over time, to get to that full extreme

Yeah 5 is steep but WTF been following this

to see 1 vs. 4 because one of my trucks has

no room and I run 1 sub currently. But 2 vs. 4

even Car Toys could pull that bet off. 2 just killed

this for me. His shit is way underpowered to begin with.

Should have pulled spare tire and glassed in 1 good 15 or

18 with major power to it. My buddy has a civic the trunk has decent

space with tire pulled. Peace

dont be fooled by that video you posted. my 15" level 4 moved more air in my civic sedan than that thing does. i'll warn you though that your box will be tough to fit in your trunk. even after cutting out some braces and stuff, i only can squeeze like 4 1/2 cubes after slot port displacement.

1 15" high quality sub like an XL or Level 5 like you looked into will work. two level 4 XL 12's will probably be louder than the single 15" because they will have a slightly larger cone area with the same bl and xmax. just make certain to have enough batteries and a strong alt. power is one of the most important things when trying to get your system loud.

good luck though, hope you come out in the end :D

*edit*

as stated right above me, the spare tire area will give you atleast another 1.5-2 cubes if you can glass it into your box. it would be tough, but well worth it

1 would be more impressive but Its your vehicle do with it what you want man. A lvl 5 or btl 15/18 with a dat 2500.1 would be crazy loud.

Good luck man! I deal with the same thing in my small hometown. Everybody will ride one guys nuts because he has "fo 12s" or " fo 15s" and "2400 watt amp. I have done almost the same thing as you are doing now but with an Accord, 2 subs in 6 cubes facing forward sealed off from the trunk. It is well worth the time in the end. Again, good luck with it!

I looked at his truck the other day and the back window barely moves and his rearview moves down a little bit on good songs. quality>quantity

and there isn't a store in my state that carries mdf so I'd have to drive about a hour to get some, so gas plus truck plus cost = :censored:

Sucks bout the drive. The Jeep Grand Cherokee I had for

three years had three Punch XLC 12"s in a sealed crapper

box to a Punch Power amp that was only about 500 watts

maybe it was a 250A1 can't remember been 7 years but

that shit shook the whole Jeep. Knocked off rear wiper and

plate box. His explorer sounds weak give him 5 and run

the 2 DCs and the Fosgate.

the spare tire well is going to be used for 2 extra batteries so thats a no go and the dimensions I last gave were with 6 inches of space from the box to back of the trunk, 1 inch on each side of the box between the strut towers, and about 1/2 inch from the decklid. if I actually did something right with the re box calculator it gives me 5 cubes and thats with port and sub displacement. I COULD go an extra 12" wider after the strut towers but I figured I would leave myself some room for trunk space

Where you looking to mount amps?

Port is up which way you going with subs?

shit completely forgot to add that I thought about just going subs and port forward. I couldn't get an answer on how to use aero ports with them being soo close to the subs

and the sub amp is going to go on the back of the box and mid/highs amp up front behind the front seats on the floor

I had aero ports in my last box on the same baffle as the sub just a few inches from the sub and worked fine for me.
