Hello SMD Members!!!

I've been a member for a while, but havent posted many postings, nor do I have a lot of experience in car audio. I don't have any friends that are involved with car audio or any type of I.C.E. but I am in love with this site and the whole concept of becoming a ground pounder. I am currently working, slowly but surely, on my very first build. Its taken A LOT of time to get it all going and being able to afford to pound. But its well under way.

It may not be as big or bad as most of the rides on here but I am extremely proud of my first build. I don't know of anyone who works on Car Audio, dont have any friends in the industry, and dont really have much access that I know of to anyone or any information other than sites like this. Theres a ton of shops in my area man just most of the guys are real jerks when it comes to trying to learn how.

I just wanted to let you know that I appreciate the fact you guys work so hard and give so much advice. Without cats like you and steve I'd never be able to get this going without costing me fortune that I don't have. Therefore, needless to say, I wouldnt have the system that Im proud of without yall. So i'd like to thank yall and let yall know that its greatly appreciated man.

Thanks for your time man,

Crownshaker

are those 2 "Pre Fab" boxes next to each other? From the pictures it looks like the port area is WAY TO SMALL. Anyone else agree? Other then that, nice job buddy!

Yeah they sure are. I believe they're way too small too man. They get pretty loud though, but i know it could be way better with a custom built and tuned box. Just dont have the tools atm to do anything for myself man. They are Ground Shakers SQP-152 Enclosures. To be honest man I dont even know what they are tuned too lol. I've written the company twice but never received any confirmation on if they are tuned or what the tuning is.

I bought them because they were the only prefabs that I could find at the time that had at least 3 cubes per chamber, were vented, used 3/4 MDF, and could fit both in my truck without losing any passenger room. Honestly man I was suprised by the sound and flex I got from the boxes. I got three "decent" videos up on youtube that kind of show what they can do. The first one was just me pretty much impressed by the way the song sounded so I shot a vid of. The cam sucks something aweful but eh you can get the diea. Lol the cd was skippy but hell I even got a tiny amount of door flexed so I was in awe. They were just installed a small amount of time before that video was shot. The second shows the distance and the third shows the roof flex. Check the videos out, if you got a sub on your pc setup youll kinda get what Im saying.

I know... lol they aint all that but like I said I was impressed. I was like... hmmm... not bad for a first timer lol :)
