Team_DC-Derrick
that last note is crazy low, i think like 26-28, so its sending your sub into a free air type thing.. which is a bad thing but you should wire the sub up like this, Quote The DC Integra 3 18s to 6 15 build log Team_DC-Derrick's Youtube Team DC Audio where theres a will theres a wall....... ps6435
Is that better than the way i got it now? where each voice coil runs off 1 channel? i cant run it like that anyways because my amp is supposed to only be 4 ohm stable at mono but i talked to you before and i had it hooked up 2ohm mono before and it didnt shut amp off or effect it... Boon
You're always going to suffer on that bottom note unless you have some crazy ass low end monster system which IMO will suck on the mid-high bass. That bottom note is in the low 20s I believe. My subsonic filter cuts it right down ;/ Quote 10.x volts fo' life!

Derrick824
okay i redid my port by basically taking the top of box off and undoing the port pieces the used calculator to tune it to the correct frequency... my box was tuned to 45hz before and now its tuned to about 36hz... It doesn't work like that. By lengthening the port you're adding displacement which reduces box volume. Reducing box volume raises tuning. By my calculations you're still tuned around 45hz. It's is imperative to recalculate box volume after any port changes.
tacomabanga1986
ive ran subs like that befor with no prob, but a stereo(2ch) amp plays 2 diff sides n the sub trys to counter act each side, ied bridge it @ 8ohm, pos of one coil to amp, neg of other coil to other pos n then neg to amp neg n 8ohm, with box rise that 2ohm will be around 3.2 give or take, when i had my amp wired 1ohm it was settin at 1.8ohm with box rise Quote here's a link to my system 99 toyota tacoma , 2 mtx 8000 1504's in a sealed downfire , 1000w memphis amp here's a link to my other system my 90 geo prizm test car heres a thread i got of new songs u can dl that are legal = Some Good Bangage/you Can Dl These Free And Legit
brsteinbach
kinda off topic but kinda not. I am tuned to 28hz and hit way down to 22hz and way up to 55hz and they both sound awesome, no bottoming out sound or anything and I have not had any damage to my subs. For example Bigpimpin is tuned to 34hz iirc and he hit "I luv your girl C&S" that gets down to 23hz and has no problem doing it. Just my let opinion. lol.
