OrenB217
On a stock 105 amp alternator, will the Kinetik HC800 (front) and the Kinetik HC2400(Rear) be enough to power a btl on the sundown saz2000 without having to replace the alternator? Also, if anyone has an idea of the voltage i would get, people have been saying 13.8, but that was a guess by a dude on ***. sully
Your voltage should be 14.2 to 14.4 if the batteries are charged and the alternator is working. You should get a MLA module or find a how to thread on upgrading your voltage output of the alternator to around 15 to 15.3 if you don't want to get a HO alt. Also what type of vehicle? VistaV6
I am doing pretty much the same thing, 12" BTL on an SSL 4000.1 though, and I have been told that just the two batteries would be fine. It would be a maxima.....but if the alt is close to the batt, ill prolly consider doing the big 3 Quote Black 1998 Nissan Maxima1st Setup: 145.8 DB Outlaw @37 HZ On Music Out Of Trunk2nd Setup: 147.8 DB @42 HZ On Music Out The TrunkCurrent Trunk Build:153.8 DB Outlaw @ 49 HZ Out the trunk (150.8 DB Sealed)Team gg. Guest KyleCannon
Lots of variables... if the amp is clipping... low voltage if it's all clean you can get higher voltage... a lot of variables and a lot of tweaking.... but if you're getting a good stereo why not have the power to back it? Spend the money on an alt and get a hc2000 instead. saves you close to 200 at least. Heck I bet Rob at DC Power Inc. would hook you up nicely Quote Blown
Guest KyleCannon
Definitely... on my dc power alt i only have one battery and im pushing 2 T1500-1bds and a T600-4 no problem on a single XS Power D2400
kfx450r
should be fine. Thats a small alt but youd be suprised how much wattage you can push on stock alts (although not recommended)
