harrisonG
i know ive made a couple other threads kind of asking this question along with other questions, but i think im going to designate this question specifically for this part of the forum. right now i am trying to decide on one of three subs. -fi ssd -aq sdc2.5 -lvl3 dc im trying to choose for right now just one 12" for daily use to go with my alpine MRP-M500 amp which is 300wrms x1 at 4ohms and 500wrms x1 at 2ohms. i want to know which sub will be best for the amp until i either upgrade to a new amp if i decide to do that eventually. i know the ssd requires a more power, but if anyone thinks that my amp can handle it im open for opinions. also if anyone has any other suggestions for subs trying to stay ~200, but im open for other ideas. -Harrison Quote 2000 Nissan Xterra -Infinity 6020cs components -Infinity 692.7 6x9s -DC LVL 4 12 -AQ1200 -Pioneer DEHP860MP H/U -4 channel amp for mids and highs??? newls1
personally I would stick with the SSD. Gives you room for a future amp upgrade, as its like you said, handles more power, but should "get down" with what you currently have. harrisonG
and with the SSD what would be the best options to get with it for my kind of usage? matt402
DC ftW, the lvl 3 can handle more than rated power as well .
THEKINGsBACK
SSDs man.. just sold me 2 15s and i miss em all ready not bad for a lower priced sub Quote he wouldnt be the first to say they did a 167 with a system like that (one that clearly DOESNT), but i have to say, he didnt beat me anywhere, ive never competed against the guy. If he thinks his does a 167, mine would probably put him in a coma. :hairtrick:

hdrox88
and with the SSD what would be the best options to get with it for my kind of usage? Depends on what you plan to do with it. SQ or SPL? Upgrade amp in the future?
harrisonG
id be getting it for SQ, and i would be willing to upgrade amps, but if i didnt have to it would be better. thats why i feel the AQ or DC might work better since my amp puts out power closer to their ranges. but for SQ which settings would i get on the SSD if i stuck with the same amp. also any other opinions? hdrox88
According to Fi the copper coil upgrade helps on the SQ end. Click Here
chill phil
the AQ would be the cheapest and be louder on the amount of power you are giving it. Its rms is also underrated.
