4 12"s Or 2 18"s

I could be wrong but when i added the numbers up the 2 18's have more cone surface area (508 square inches) over the twelves(452 square inches) but i would go with the 4 12's. they are pushing twice as much power as just 2 18' btls so even thought they have less surface area they are pushing out way more power

The 12's have roughly 12 cubic liters of displacement and the 18's will have roughly 15 cubic liters of displacement.

On paper the 18's are considerably louder. and will need less power to do so.

As far as the rest of these comments......... Well shit, I don't know what they are talking about.

Do 18's not sound lower than 12's bc of the lower fs?

get the 18s. youll spend less money in the long run and still be just as loud.
