Recommended Posts

Im just curious how many times have you tinned some ring terms and later realized oh shit forgot the boot? Imma electrician by trade and have been at the final stage of hooking something up and realize damn forgot the boot or something similar. That is more frustrating than mis-cutting wire length imo.

Im tuned to your youtube and watching this thread hoping to pick up some ideas. So far you have given me some food for thought man.

Build is lookin sick and patiently waiting the key turn event http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/public/style_emoticons/default/hairtrick.gif.

Go check yo lawn homie

you know what, just today i had a revelation........i used my heat gun to soften up the boots and i was able to EASILY stretch it over the lug and the wire jacket which is way bigger (as you can see). I put the boots on AFTER i was done soldering, normally i put them on first. Ive always fought with them, and won, but always had to fight..the heatgun trick is where its at :D I cant believe it took me that long to figure it out :D

So damn clean. I don't know how you do it. You must have the patience of a saint sitting there cutting and soldering and running all those cables. Damn. Do work son! I'm still waiting to see all those amps up and running. So sick!

wtf is lolcats?

I'd def get a fat hooker if i had to resort to that kinda thing. I feel like they'd be grateful and work harder. Also its more bang for my buck, more real estate for my dollar if you catch my drift. its like the Costco of streetwalkers.

I was hoping for 150 :(.

I was hoping she would let me put it in her butt

I agree that you must have alot ot patience because I dunno if I would have them to solder all those wires. But I gotta say man that you have done a really good job so far and am looking forward to seeing some vids of people running away from your hoe lol. On a side note there is a guy that lives in my area and he has a chevy blazer with 8 2500bd fosgate amps on 4 18's. I believe the subs are Team RF and I got to sit in it a little while back. I am quite certain I felt my brain shaking because it was just stupid loud. Its a two door and the subs sit right behind the two front seats. So I give props to you Steve on how you can drive around with your subs slammin cause I couldnt do it!

Just watched the new vid on youtube with all the wires.....DAMN!!! I had troubles trying to hide 4 gauge wire through my truck running to my 2 amps so that no one could see it, or feel it under the carpet in spots. I need to switch to 2 gauge, but has mush as a pain in the ass it was the first time with 4 I don't even want to deal with it. Gotta be done though  Keep up the great work... watchin trying to steal ideas of how to "easily" run new wire.

I stumbled upon that by accident one day, forgot to put the boots on first. My lugs were still hot enough that I was able to wiggle and twist the boots on fairly easily, much easier than putting them on first and fighting to slide them up the insulation. Now I just do that.
