berniebp87 Posted January 22, 2010 Author Report Posted January 22, 2010 Got some BAD news today, the DD 95Z`s aren`t coming until late febuary. The model has had some issues with coil rub or something so it`s beeing redesigned and the new model is gonna be named the Z9518a, hopefully with no coil issues or any other. My motivation has hit rockbottom now(because of all the waiting for the woofers), very little done with the car and the box. Just been wrapping and painting stuff. But I`m gonna be doing a side project for some friends, nothing big, 4 12"s, 1200rms amp, some focal 6x9 and 5.25 coaxials. maybe I`ll make a thread about it if it turns out good Gotta throw some pics in to not make it a totally worthless post, lol Bought some fans to keep the amps cool, 2 on the right side and 1 on the left. Some more paint on the box And when I went to the garage in the morning to put some more layers to the inside of the box, this was what I found. WTF?! SUX about the woofers, but then again, aren't you happier that you didn't get them, blow them, and have to turn around and send them back for repair/replacing??? Then you would have been able to play with them and THEN had to take em out and send em back... I'd rather wait until I could hold onto them and beat the hell out of them than have the excitement of getting them, the saddness when they blew, and then the suicidal thoughts after having to send them off and wait AGAIN!!! sometimes, gotta look at the bright side of things. Plus, I'm sure they'll hook you up in some way for the extended delays.... they seem like good people like that!

Better to wait a bit more then maybe having it fail on me and have to send it in again and wait even longer to get it fixed. I try to look at the bright side, just don`t like all the waiting. Ric Thornton Posted April 8, 2010 Report Posted April 8, 2010 the z's are being built again. we sent ours back in for the "upgrade" in the beginning of march. we got it back in 3 weeks. and its a beauty. we even got it all platinum'd up. shiny.
