newls1 Posted August 17, 2009 Report Posted August 17, 2009 lol they dont like lows but they can take a 3kd they are not a bad woofer for the price at all Hey bro, Have you actually used or played with an HDC3 before, just wondering. People all over the nets say they LOVE THE LOWs this sub puts out. Tune the box to 36-38Hz as per DJ's specs, and the sub will have no issues playing a 28Hz note for example. I love my staffie So anti FACEBOOK it isn't even funny
Basshead08 Posted August 17, 2009 Report Posted August 17, 2009 My 15 loves lows System tear out has begun...Out with the old i have a iq of 128 i graduated at the top of my class tell me how im reatrded you are the 1 thats dumb as hell you can't even spell Look at the underlined text hahahahahahahaha I think of it as the virgin losing the virginity technique not just jumping in to it, and pounding away, but going at it slowly over time, to get to that full extreme
Decaf Posted August 17, 2009 Report Posted August 17, 2009 umm i just got done listening to 3 aq setups... all of them tuned 36hz or higher and they hit lows better than most subs... theres a vid of Dorrough - Trunk Bang... which is 31hz... in the Algonquin Car Show thread i went to... the subs moving about 3 inches and the windsheild was doing the same
zfrerichs Posted August 17, 2009 Report Posted August 17, 2009 lol the lows were cool but damn that cone did not like that shit the box was tuned to 35 hz and at around 28 30 hz the cone would start to wave their cones arent stiff in the least bit but they are a good woofer for the price and the sub was my buddy justins Roseville, CA
zfrerichs Posted August 17, 2009 Report Posted August 17, 2009 not saying the sub couldnt play that low but the cone didnt like it for sure Roseville, CA
EricR Posted August 17, 2009 Report Posted August 17, 2009 Buddy of mine has a Custom Built Aluminum with extra spiders on an Autotek MM3000.1. Just one. The sub takes the power but the amp does not. this is exactly what mine are, have 2 on the way. will be powered by IA 40.1 i was thinking leave the 12 sitting in the box in the hole and duck tape from the bottom of the sub to the bottom of the baffle so the sub doesnt free air. would that work?
Decaf Posted August 17, 2009 Report Posted August 17, 2009 not saying the sub couldnt play that low but the cone didnt like it for surewhat do u mean by the sub was waving? as in the suspension was being rocked... in that case maybe it was the box moreso than the sub
Guest Posted August 17, 2009 Report Posted August 17, 2009 lol the lows were cool but damn that cone did not like that shit the box was tuned to 35 hz and at around 28 30 hz the cone would start to wave their cones arent stiff in the least bit but they are a good woofer for the price and the sub was my buddy justins how do you see the cone itself flex? and bump for my SDC question
zfrerichs Posted August 17, 2009 Report Posted August 17, 2009 No because of how the cone was made it wasnt very strong you could push up on the cone from the bottom and the cone would flex Roseville, CA
brewer_brewer Posted August 17, 2009 Report Posted August 17, 2009 no he meant the cone itself was twisting and waving. it will only do this when they are overpowered (above rms) AND playing below tuning.
