I gotta agree... I'm like 4dB up if I go from the dash sealed engine off to the kick with a window open and the engine running...

Legal or bust, may as well use an AC190 stuck in the port otherwise

ill say it before and ill say it again tehse trucks are not easy to get loud at all! everyone i have talked to has never gotten super loud with them...maybe im missing something, care to take one and make it super loud?

Pretty much the standard is @ dash, all sealed up... All the guy did, along w/ the few others was state that a "true" 150 recognized by the majority is @ the dash sealed. I don't think any said it isn't loud or that he didn't do a 150. Just saying that it wasn't at the dash, but him not being a competitor or with any org. the score is all good for him then.

Should logan be proud with the score, Yes it was his first 150 regardless of mic placement. Will everyone be impressed by it, no as is the case w/ just about everything in the CA world. So to you or logan, it is the internet so just shrug it off when someone states something like that. No reason to act like an ass especially when he didn't actual say anything to you or offending to anyone (thehoe92).

But question to logan - How wide is the area that the enclosure is located?? Do u have a significant amount of sound deadening on the roof, doors, etc??(most will pick up a few tenths with it, plus less likely to break things lol, and sounds better/louder). How braced in the enclosure, also how slick inside(resin/glass/etc)??

Also i'd look into what i threw out to ya, if u can fit it. I can guarantee u won't be dissapointed.

the box itself is 49" wide, i believe i can fit 55" with the panels on, and 58-59" with them off, dont hold me to that though, yes the roof has a whole second skin door pack, and all 4 doors and the back wall is covered with 2 layers of quick roof (off brand but it works)

IMO you should widen the box, lower the height a lil bit further away from the roof, did a single 12" aero in the middle of the subs, a couple threaded rods instead of current bracing, plus did a smooth resin over the entire inside of the box, and a double baffle. With basically a new enclosure w/ the things i just mentioned, you should see a significant gain and that 150 @ dash/sealed up should be there with no issues.

Plus you can still keep the same general daily tuning, you'll be moving a good amount more air(because of the slick interior + aero), and should be able to actually decrease the general box size a lil bit. Subs/port facing towards the roof or if you're willing to do some testing try subs up/port facing either side. What year/model truck is that exactly?? Might be able to help u with which side to face the port.

once i have the funds the box will be lowered onto the floor and pushed all the way back against the back wall and i will fire it up...im hoping that helps things out...i wouldnt oppose to a 150 sealed up but right now its not something i can do, im sure i will see a good gain once i get the alt in too...i also need to pick up a max link to feed these amps more than 1.25 volt inputs, but i will be able to turn the gain up a bit since i wont be dropping to 11.7 anymore

Im sure a alt will help a good bit logan.

Our systems are no where near idenical wall vs no wall, pickup vs suv etc. But I gained a good .8 db from a stock alt to my 250amp Rhino series alt that does 271 amps.

Did you ever meter your truck sealed up yet, if so whats the score?

Well just with the new amps and the alt you'll see a gain without a doubt... I'm telling you man, if u gave my idea a shot you won't be dissapointed at all.

My buddy has a 99 f150 ext cab... We did 2 12" MTs, 2 GP-3000D Pros @ 1ohm, 4.8ft3 @ 36hz w/ a single 8" port(basically smaller scale box i suggested to you). Also had a 250amp alt w/ 3 NSB-90s and it did a 150.4 @ dash all sealed up in the mid 40s with subs/port facing up. Wasn't a comp setup by any means, just a loud ass daily setup that happened to do a pretty nice number. It surprised the hell out of everyone that go demos from it when they found out it was 2 12s.

Congrats Logan. Some people hate cuz they never sat in it. Shit is violent with a 15'' woofer on the back of your head off 2k. It was definitely bangin, and numbers definitely don't give it the justice. Just with the extra steady 3 volts alone, 14.4+, I bet you'll gain quite a bit.

I definitely gotta say, tonneau cover with amps/ batteries in the bed and box sittin a couple inches off the floor would make the setup itself safer. SPL usually isn't pretty, but in all practicality havin a 250 lb box behind you, a foot and a half off the floor is just sketch if you were ever to get in an accident. I can't wait to hear it once you change it up. Congrats and thanks again for the demo.

What frequency did you hit the 150.7 with?

and did you say the box is tuned to 35?
