1992Chevy K1500
I plan on pushing 1000W RMS @ 1-ohm. The power acoustik is D4 ohm VC so it's a no go. The kicker can only take 750 but I might look at it. I'm liking the Soundstream sub. I might look into it. I'm also looking at the HDC3, what's the price on it? 1992Chevy K1500
kicker cvx 15 = 1000rms I was talking about this one: http://www.woofersetc.com/p6714/08S15L52--...m-Subwoofer.htm which tacomabanga posted. I am looking at the CVX 15 as well. And one more question, how would I figure the tuning on two (or more) round ports? EDIT: fixed sumthin. 1992Chevy K1500
Could I just calculate how long one port would have to be to get my desired frequency and then put more ports in till I get the area I need? andym85
your take ur volume and divide by the number of ports u have, and then figure tuning, and thats how long each port should be... so take 13cubes/4ports=3.25cubes use that as ur volume and one six inch port in ur equation and get ur tuning....then whatever length u come up with, every port needs to be that long.. Ben Building
Here is a certified beast that won't be beat for these dollars... http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/Pr...ProductID=14028 also, look at the Audiopipe EyeCandy subs. They are conservatively rated for 1kw RMS and are very efficient.

1992Chevy K1500
OK, so I've narrowed it down to 3 choices: http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/Pr...ProductID=14028 <Lanzar http://www.woofersetc.com/p5373/T515--Soun...s-Subwoofer.htm <Soundstream http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_6515_K...pVX+Series.html <Kicker (I would rather buy new than refurb) But I have a few questions. 1. How much airspace does the Lanzar (or the soundstream) need in a ported enclosure. My current design has 4 and I would like to keep it that way if possible.
