I love how everyone suggests all these amps when he hasn't even listed which VC config he has.....

Headunit: Eclipse CD3200 w/ 80G iPod

Mids/Highs: Rockford T152s (a-pillars), Rockford T162s (doors)

Subwoofers: 1 15" Fi BL Fully Loaded

i dunno about "clean watts" but they are the newest boner around these parts. the 3k model i had did maybe 2700 off my explorers nice electrical system and got hot enough to boil spit so go from there
