kentb Posted September 17, 2009 Report Posted September 17, 2009 i would suggest you put more layers on the roof, sides, rear hatch and dash than any part of the vehicle because that will be the one that will flex(basically, just stop putting more layers on the floor. lol) just my 2 cents. looking good so far! The floor is ribbed, and bolted to the frame, Most secure flexless part of the vehicle besides the frame. tho it will reduce road noise from those huge 26s! the roof in mine was hella bed. Have before and after vids of mine!. Tho I didnt have enough to do the whole truck like you. I was only able to do my roof with SSDP, and many layers of Hushmat on all 6 doors. I dont know if you planned on doing the roof, or not. Or pulled your headliner out. But if you do, be very patient pulling the headliner out if you have rear AC. The cooling duct goes up behind the rear passenger side door (aka the C Piller). It goes into the headliner a good few inches, and can be a pain to pull out (tho its not attached to anything just sits in there freely). Also, I dont think you really need to sound deaden the roof above the driver seat and front passenger, that should all be super stiff because its double layered metal, but doing 1 layer wouldnt hurt nothing. But then again, I pulled my headliner by myself, and you got help Opps almost forgot another sneaky tip for ya. Get some great stuff. and fill the roof braces in with it, once cured and hard, it will add lots of rigidness Dont mind the kerf cut mdf to stiffen up the roof

I got plenty of damplifier,im only doing 2 on the whole floor,the 4 front doors will have 2 layers each(one on the inside of the door skin and one on the piece that the window track assembly attatches too)but the back side panels and doors will have 4-5 layers probably..we will see. ^^^ x2. Are you going to put the 4th DC power alternator in on this build?Using all tsunami wire,i just got 4 boxes of it in,got pictures and videos,coming before the days out.also got the best rcas tsunami makes.And yes im gonna be running the 4th alternator as soon as i get it in ill put it on..but we are already going to have the runs of 0g ran up to the front so if it dont come in while hes here all i have to do when it does come in is bolt it up and attach the wires
