LSN2meBoom916
... never let the mids and tweet get more than 6" (at the most) from the woofer/midbass driver. the best spot IMO is actually down low in the kicks aimed at the drivers "nose". that area has the most even amount of travel for both the driver and passenger speaker to travel to the driver where it matters the most.... but it take HOURS of listining and moving speakers sometimes just a hair to get great sound quality. Amen Brotha. <--Tweets in kicks w/ mids, tweet is about 2" farther away (from center) than mid. Guest MegaloManiac
Amen Brotha. <--Tweets in kicks w/ mids, tweet is about 2" farther away (from center) than mid. for some reason in my accord. if i have the tweets in the kicks it sounds like the sound is coming off the floor. Ideally I wanted my sound to be up eye level on/above the dash. maybe i just had bad luck putting them on the floor. as of right now my tweeters are in the a-pillers. they sound "fine" although i can say there is a hole in my midrange. i really am planning on going 3-way as soon as i can & go nuts on some deadening. Are they "aimed" upward? or just straight at each other/across the car side to side? Building kicks and spending about a week finding the reight angles (different for each side) was the BIGGEST jump in SQ ever. Sound is actually right above dash level and DEAD centered if I fade it +/-2 to the opposite side of listener. emperorjj1
in my car the fnx tweets have a swivle base so i can slightly adjust them... i prefer the pass side one pointed directly at me but the driver is only slighty turned from facing the tweeter on the other side...
