Djmixmasterkid
I don't see a problem man. LOL tell him to fuck off and that you want the amp to warm up to fight humidity and condensation on the circuit board and ask him didn't he know water and electronics don't mix well. LOL HA HA HA J/P but still funny. lol then tell him to go eat a dick...like this: I know if I ever find out you were messing with my 17yr old daughter, i'm diggin' off in that ass and then your next post will be asking for tips on how to remove my size 12 shoes from your ass. audiofanaticz
I love the 10 or so people saying its fine to have a amp wired up and working but not powering nothing, then the 4 knowledgeable that say dont do it and actually have reason behind their facts. It makes me giggle. So much wrong info on forums nowadays.
MickyMcD
Better to not do it. It's actually quite common for the output section to come a gutsa in a no-load environment. It can throw the FET Bias, it can create a short within the output section, or as my ol' Peavey 3800's did, they esplode. Not explode, esplode. The s is for 'Shit, that was a fair bit of a bang.' More often than not, higher power amplifiers will suffer. Even a well built amplifier may not like a no-load environment. ISO
All I can say is there is something new to learn everyday. Anything wrong with just yanking the remote wire? audiofanaticz
Yanking the remote power would be fine. Your amp wouldnt be turning on to power XXXX watts to nothing.

CaptainzPlanetz
then everyones amp(s) would be at risk even when the vehicle is turned off. Thats true when the car is off your Pos and Neg are still hooked up, but the Remote isnt powered, but would the RCA's sending a signal when the car is on but the remote disconnected affect this situation, so if you disconnected the remote as well as the RCA's then would that change that risk. ¿ǝɯɐƃ ǝɥʇ Trolls never learn............
