meade916 Posted October 5, 2009 Author Report Share Posted October 5, 2009 i talked to Kumho about it in July and the guy was cool, he told me he would warranty them out and pro-rate them out so it would cost me about $1000 to replace. Then America's tire company, who are close by, told me they needed a special machine (like less shwab did) and basicly acted intimidated by a 26. They wanted to charge me like 300 to install so it woulda been $1300 out the door. I wanted the Pirelli's and no more shitty ass kumho's anymore.... but for that price i was like screw it at least they will be new. ...so 2 weeks later when i rounded up funds for my new tires i was trying to get a hold of the guy at Kumho that i spoke too so i could ask if there was another dealer i could use for warranty, so i could get someone who isnt scared of 26's. He never answered. I called a few more times to see if i could even still get the deal....no answer, no returned call (after i left messages). I left at least 3 messages on his VM box....well he blew me off so i went with what i wanted which is what i got.......and now i am SO GLAD that fucker didnt answer the phone. If he did, i would be rollin on those same tires and it would for SURE happen again.... so thanks Kumho for leaving me hanging, i got something better and it really is a major improvement!!! I would ride on the rim if i knew it wouldnt damage it oh and it is pretty sad that a 16" rotor can look so small behind that rim - its HUGE but the illusion makes it not so huge....especially in pics. But if say that the ride quality is alot better then I guess.I don't know if it was mentioned earlier but what's the life of the tires? And how many miles before rotation?
