What hz should I burp?

Yea yea, I know it varies per car+ set up + all that, BUT I dont have access to a termlab and I only get 1 run for 60 seconds. The last run I did I got a 142.1 @ (the pink floyd bass mixed song's 1st note) hz. I know I can be louder on music because my sub is fully broken in now, but I wanna know what I can burp.

Car: 2008 Ford Focus

Trunk set up with sub back port back tuned to 33-34 htz

1 12" Fi Bl 09 model w/ cooling + flatwind coil

1 RF T-1500-1bd

Optima up front

Kinetik 1800 in back

My Voltage doesnt drop below 14 as long as I rev my engine to about 1.75k-2k rpm.

Any help will be appriciated.

If you go to a competition. Play a sweep in the qualifying round or even ask for a practice round, and then ask the judge what your peak frequency was.

Other than that. No one will be able to tell you what frequency or even close to what frequency you will peak at.

I know, I asked last time, but where they were metering was weird and I wouldve blocked the traffic flow to park. The last time I played a sweep the guy said I peaked @ 39 hz, which seems too low to me, since then I have changed subs. So, does 39 hz seem reasonable? or too low?

39 hz ist too low.

Depends on the setup and thats in a good range for daily music systems.

The meter doesnt lie. If it said 39hz, its 39hz.

In most cases, your burp freq is ruffly 4-9hz above tuning freq. So 39hz maybe right.

The change in the sub may effect it a little, but nothing major if your still using the same box.

The little bit in displacement from "sub a" to "sub b" is maybe 1hz if your lucky.

Yea I only changed from an 08 model bl, to a 09 model which is heavier which is why i asked. So as of right now I have a cd with 5 tones, 38,39,40,41,42. I know a lot of the real competitors dont use bass knobs, but is using a RF punch knob while playing a tone going to bottem me out? I always use the knob sparingly like 15-20 seconds here and there. This is the only thing I am worried about

No. Resonant frequency (or burp frequency) of a particular car has nothing to do with the tuning frequency of the sub enclosure. It will always stay pretty much within a 2-3hz range regardless of box tuning.

39hz sounds possible but its not going to be a good SPL car. Should sound great with music though.

Yea, I wasnt going for an spl car or anything like that just a good loud daily driver that still sounds good on music. I know my score could be lower with a new box, but I like my lows too much

So are you saying he cant burp his daily box?

He is asking what freq to burp his car at with his current box.. Or shall we say burp freq of his BOX not his CAR.

and last time I checked if your going to burp your car "not some high tuned 60hz fart cannon setup" your db rating will be louder at a freq 4-9hz above your box tuning freq.

My tahoe will play up to 47hz from what I noticed, however my box is tuned at 29hz, and my loudest burp due to tuning is 35.

If I go buy what you say, I should burp at 31-32 hz which is ruffly .3db quieter. Why would i want to do that?

No i didnt say that. I said regardless of what you tune your enclosure to, ts not going to change the natural resonant frequency of your car.

Say you car peaks at 51hz. It doesnt matter if you tune your box to 25hz, 33hz, 40hz, or 73hz. 51hz will always be the loudest frequency in that car. (as long as all adjustments on the head unit and amp correspond with that).
