I feel like a little kid trying to write up a christmas list... Granted the build itself won't start for another 2 months or so, I just wanna lock down what products will be purchased.

I'm still waiting on pricing from Nick from IA, but it's looking like I'll either be running all Sundown gear or Sundown amps w/ IA subs.

I like the idea of either 16 12" IA Death Rows or 8 15" IA DPs off 4 SAZ-4500Ds w/ IA subs... 16 12" Sundown Zv2 or 8 15" Nightshades off the same power.

Would be pretty dope to have DJs truck(32 12s), the 12 18" Nightshade setup, 16 SA-12s in that excursion, and then mine w/ 8 15" Nightshades all lined up at SBN. It would be like a like a hairtrick http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/public/style_emoticons/default/hairtrick.gif buffet line when you walk by.

1998 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer... New setup, old ride... QX56 is staying stock til I get loud... It's only getting walled off if I don't meet my goal @ SBN.

Pioneer AVIC-N2

(12) 12" RE SXs old model.... (3) AB VFL 500.1 @ 1ohm each

Dual 300amp Ohio Gen alts.... (10) Northstar NSB-125s

26ft3 @ 33hz w/ a ton of port area

156.5 @ 40hz @ dash, Db Drag style / 153.2 Bassrace

I like the idea with the 8 IA DP's, you dont see too many people running those subs.

We'll see about the Death Penalties now, they might be out of the question to be honest. Got the email back from Nick @ IA and the DPs were more $$ wise than I expected to see. Seems as though it will prolli end up with 8 15" Nightshades off the 4 4500Ds, should still do pretty ok lol.

This is just gonna be a demo vehicle for the most part and I'll do sum 149.9 or 159.9 bassrace depending on the show lol. If i did have sum goals #s wise, I guess 152-55+ bassrace and a 154-58+ burp in the mid to high 30s... They are sum pretty decent numbers, but I think they are more than attainable with the right build up.

If I do run DC woofers, then it would be more like 12 12" LVL4s or 8 15" LVL4xl... If I did run LVL5s, then they would be seeing 4500+ watts daily to each one and I'd rather not have that much power per sub. There are only 3 or 4 woofers out there that I'd feel comfortable running that much power to daily. The one in particular(IA Wardens) are another thought of a possible setup too. I'm like 99% dead set on 8 15s though, Nightshades would be perfect because of the small box size, power handling I'm looking for, plus it will then be all Sundown in the sub stage.

Sounds like you already have your mind made up then. The Nightshades are my favorite woofer, but I'm sure by my name you wouldn't have guessed that. I've had mine for over a year and I absolutely love them. They are a perfect mix of spl and daily that seem to do very well. Check out my sig for spl numbers and I also do close to a 152 with my 2 15 daily setup and bassrace a 150.8 as well.
