So i went to a local battery store and was looking around and i found a Optima Yellow top and i also found a Odyssey battery. So this is where im stuck. Should i replace my front battery and throw in one those batteries or keep the one i have in the front and throw one of the new ones in the back? Thanks, Kasey

Decaf Posted October 14, 2009 Report Posted October 14, 2009 what models optima or odyssey if u dont want to pay for shipping stick with odyssey they have like a 6-8 yr life expectancy... made by the same company as optima fyi (enersys/hawker iirc) ideally u dont want to mix a AGM battery (dry cell) with a wet cell.. they charge/discharge at different rates many do but its not ideal

Cause i think the Odyssey is like 299.99 and the yellow tops are like 117.00 and both models are the group 31 i think. or i think the optima is the D34/78 and the odyssey is 31M-PC2150

Alright i need at lest 128 AH to keep up with my system. What battery/batteries that will produce that? I cant tell how many AH that the odyssey can put out. Thanks, Kasey
