mario7538
ok, so i have a prefab ported box. i want to make a bigger one. i dont have the saws to do it so i was wondering if anyone on here has ever got the dimensions they need for the cut outs and gone to lowes or home depot to get them cut? i doubt they would be able to cur the holes for the actual subs but as far as the sheets has anyone done that and just put it together from there? thanks guys mario Quote 04 hyundai sonata jvc head unit alpine type s components 6.5's 4 kicker tweeters 2 in the front 2 in the back MARIO

wL<3bass
I wouldn't recommend having home depot or lowes cut your wood....I tried to tell my friend.....I believe he ask for a 24"x36" piece and got like 22-1/8" by 36-3/8" piece and every other one was atleast that much off or more. Get you a cheap circular saw and a guide so that your cuts are straight, pay some on the forum to build you one and ship it, pay someone on the forum near you to build it with you, or go to a local shop and tell them what you want and pay them to build it. loganberry
i wouldnt go to homedepot or lowes, they will mess up the cuts and you will just be wasting wood, if money is tight just see if you can borrow a friends saw...the cuts dont take very long to make at all, also go to your local highschool is they have a woodshop class, they can cut it too Quote My F-150 Build GET ON THE BANDWAGON what if they tried messing with the amps when the subs werent louder hahah jk

It's not recommended, but if you know what your doing, it's possible. I've done it, but it's one of the hardest things I've ever done.
