dont have the tools

Recommended Posts

there have been a couple people on here that have went to home depot to have wood cut.add the thickness of the blade to the measurements if the person doesnt. but try doing it your self its fun and not to hard. as mentioned walmart has cheap saws local yard sales is where i found all of my stuff dirt cheap. craigslist is good at times.

ill start looking on craigslist. i just wanted to go to home depot or lowes and have them cut it because i know i wouldnt use the tools again or often enough to make the investment.

yea tools are always good to have, just build up your collection over time ya know:p

but cutting out the speaker holes with anything other than a router = annoying

but it can be done. with patience and practice.

walmart has a jigsaw which is your next best bet for 20 or 30 the $20 one is a single speed but if you can afford the extra ten its well worth it the $30 one has variable speed so you cut a lil slower when making precise cuts, and supposedly, you can buy a cricle cutting thing for it that helps you cut perfect circles with your jig.

I own the $30 and its sweet.. also having home depot cut your wood is ok... but they have f'd my cuts up once outta of four times, so.. if you really cant get a circular saw, you could have them cut it.

make sure you tell them you have a bunch of cuts to make, account for the width of the saw blade please etc etc

they cut it, MAKE YOUR SURE YOU MEASURE AFTER THEY CUT IT TO MAKE SURE ITS RIGHT if its right, good to go

if not, park it somewhere in the corner of the store or something and leave

good luck

i have them cut a piece for me at home depot and he cut it right on the dot.

cause it was a huge piece i didnt want to mess with it by myself.

since i built all my stuff all on my own i had them cut the 2 big pieces on there panel saw.

he didnt use the measuring tape on the saw he used a hand one i think thats how they always fuck up is using the one attached to the saw.
