what james said ;) no offense to anybody running these brands, but i have never smelt coil so much in my life until i started hearing underground subs. re fi aa dc, and its not only in the dont knows vehicles. i have smelt in others as well.

FI ssd (top choice for me for that power range)

RE audio SE (sound great and i used to give mine 800 rms all day every day)

RE audio SX (will laugh at 750)

hold the phone!.... is the fi ssd and the aa chaos the same thing? it looks like they both have the same motor and basket and cone just different print on the dustcap.... correct me if im wrong..... which is cheaper?

Fi = Internet sales

AA = Dealer sales

Some of the subs use similar motors, but the soft parts are different, so they are not the same subs. Just look at the descriptions and t/s parameters. . .

ok so its pretty obvious that the chaos is just a tad better... but im wondering if i should go with the base ssd for the power... my gut is telling me that the ssd would work perfectly for the power... but theres another part of my gut that says get the chaos... especially if im planning on running an underrated amplifier...

id chose the chaos over the se's if you're looking at which sub can take more power. The se's will sound a little better though.

But dont underestimate the se's either. I know people running 200rms over what they state and they're still fine.

ok well ill have to sleep on the ssd vs chaos for awhile... now we need to figure out what brand of power the throw at them... i want a new or good used 1500watt monoblock that will do atleast rated and id like to keep it under $300... i may post a new thread if there isnt alot of replys... i feel like changing the title..lol..
