WHAT DETERMINES A PERSON'S ERA IN PRODUCTS

What determines a person's era with a particular company's products? I used to think my era in my early 20's with RF was with the Punch 45, 75 & 150 were in prominence. That was around 1989-1992. Then in my early thirties I really enjoyed the 1997-1998 series particularly the punch 250.1 power. I always thought the best of RF was in the late 80's through late 90's. Then the mini power series came out in 2007 and it my mind is the best of the bunch. Does age determine when a person enjoys car audio products from a particular company at a particular time? Or does maturity and appreciation for good quality determines a person's favorite era for products. This is not only limited to RF, but could also be Pioneer, Alpine, Soundstream, Clarion, etc. Does age even matter in this equation?

I think maturity and true appreciation for good quality. When you're young and really don't know anything about car audio, you can be fooled about an issue, whereas when you have a little maturity and some true appreciation for quality there are issues that don't even begin to come into play. I can remember when I was a teenager, to me the more a trunk rattled the louder it was but now that I am older I realize someone who is truly into good quality sound would try to eliminate the trunk rattling completely.
