Sorry, still can't blame the snake for being big and venomous. Being big doesn't justifiy killing it. I'm not saying people should yell "Holy shit a big snake!" and then walk away. Its just a snake, I would've caught it and relocated it either in a remote area or in a zoo or something. I can't say I've ever caught a rattler, but I have caught many water moccasins well over the 4' mark. Handling a 7' snake would be pretty nerv-racking, but fun.
