First single items don't need an S on the end, like one 12" W7 not W7s.

What are the actual coils on the subs?? What amp are u wiring the woofers to?? You wrote this extremely confusing and it generally doesn't make much sense, just trying to help you out and clear things up.

I dont know, what are the coils?

Do they have options?

If they are dual 1.5 then you would wire them in parallel for a .75 ohm load.

But you should not run a 1 ohm amp below 1 ohm. especially for daily music, no matter what anybody on here says they've seen others do. Fact is, you can have issues.

My advice is to get a better sub (for less money too) That has dual 2 ohm coils.

Better subs for less are not hard to find at all.

get a digital designs 9512g :) it's cheaper and you can get them in dual two.. wire em down to 1 ohm.. which amp do you plan on running ?

For the most part they will be around the same price, unless he is getting significantly overcharged for either one.

But I do agree with Ed that there are MUCH better woofers out there for a whole ton cheaper than W7s. Plus the coils are alot easier to wire up and find suitable amps.

yeah, DD and JL are the 2 of the most overpriced subs out there.

Not saying they arent good.

But it must cost alot to manufacture those JL and DD logos because there isnt much special going on that cant be found in other brands as well.

I love car audio so much because I will never be done. I can never win, and I will never get it finished or perfect. It always has me coming back for more, I can never get my fill of it, but I get what I need.
