(Finished) 15" DC Level 5 in a T-Line

Recommended Posts

im thinking of a quarter wave with a 21" pyle pro >.>

and yeah, only quarter wave ive made was a u turned 48" long box made of OSB with a 8" comp. now if my amp would work right i could tell u how loud it actually is >:[ but i would say it sounds like a 12" comp in a ported box at 40hz. sounds pretty good for 40.5 hz tuning. but yeah youre gonna be needin some mat.....

WOAH WAIT. I THOUGHT IT SAID LVL4! LVL5!?!?!? YOU SIR ARE A FKNG MAD MAN!

lmao its all good man someone had to try it ;) so are you trying to say that mine will sound like an 18 inch level 5??? lol jp man i just hope it sounds good

another way that i've seen 45's done is taking pvc pipe, cutting it into 4ths and putting a few layers of glass over it so you get a nice rounded corner, though mdf 45's will be much easier, especially if you have a table saw

i dont have a table saw and am dreading doing 45s lol i cant ever get them the same size with a regular circular saw lol but i might go that route just so i have to buy some fiberglass cuz if i dont have to use it for 45s, i wont be motivated to go buy any lol and i need to put some down at some point. ill see if i have any pvc cuz i feel like that would give a more consistant line than mdf ones

worked on this tuesday, last night until 2 30 in the morning until i almost got my face ripped off by a raccoon that snuck into my garage, and then i finished the box today, i might go back and lay down some resin and paint it, but after getting the box in the first time, i would rather cut my own legs off than try to get that in again, anyway....heres some pics

more will be done to the box but i wanted to get it up and playing, i got the sub wednesday and i wanted to hear it lol my amp isnt getting above 50 degrees, not dropping under 13.8 volts, and the sub it barely moving and still doing some damage to my roof. gonna get some of the peel n seal from home depot and put some down and try to get some on the roof, and then the same time i will paint the box. thanks for looking

peel and seal = cheaper asphalt based deadener...like a shitty version of second skin.

actually they have butyl based peel and seal at lowes. (way better than asphalt)

a roll of the stuff is 13 dollars and two rolls did three layers on my doors (outside shell, inside shell and outer side of the inner shell)

26 dollars= solid doors

I've never seen the butyl based version, only asphalt, and I've been greatly displeased with it, I used it on my tailgate, and I've already had to replace it because the asphalt adhesive stopped adhering to the metal.

not sure. i'll have to check the next time i go to lowes.

its not PEAL and SEAL brand but it is basically the same thing. its not even listed on lowes' website so i think it might just be a local alternative to it (arkansas)

i haven't had any problems with this kind, had it in my car for over a year (through summer and winter) and it is still stuck down good
