Here is a sneak peak of the new VCM (THIS IS JUST AN R&D UNIT). We are taking orders now, and there is a limited number in this first production run. If you want one you better get your orders in quick. Ships first week of December.

The VCM configures stock alternators to battery voltages including 12V, 14V, and 16V. Voltage can be fine tuned to preferences from dash controller.

Dash-mount controller

Voltage adjustment 14.5V to 19.5V (0.1 increments)

Backlight digital voltage display (bright/dim modes)

Keys lock preventing accidental adjustments

Plugs directly to original harness/alternator

Hmmm... this looks very similar to something we shipped to some guy named Steve Meade today??? :spiteful:

i highly doubt you do but do you have one for honda civics in particular a 1997

That version of the civic has an internal sensor and the VCM will not work on it.

I know this topic is for the VCM, but I also have a battery question.

2 Soundstream xxx-6500d amplifiers @ 16volts @1ohm. 250 amp alternator. How many batteries and which ones would be best for my application?

VCM question. Will it work on the 250 amp alternator? I'm sure it wouldn't be able to do a dual voltage output so I can use one module to control the 16volt side and control the 12volt side at the same time. Right?

I probably could use one for the 12volt side though. 1989 Chevy Astro 4.3L engine

Are you going to run your audio on 16v batts?

You would need two different VCMs to run two different voltages.

The VCM part # for you is XSP-310-312.
