just_dave Posted November 29, 2009 Report Posted November 29, 2009 How much power can a 15" DC Level 5 in a suggested sized enclosure take safely? 2005 Ford Explorer Pioneer Premier DEH-P800PRS Alpine MRP-F550 Kicker KX600.1 Alpine Type-X 6.5's And a Big Thanks to Clay of A Team Audio for the DC Level 3-12" Sub!
windowtinter Posted November 29, 2009 Report Posted November 29, 2009 well lets see there are those pair of tens that have clamped around the 9k watt area (not positve but close im sure) coils look clean but the reality of it all is that if you send a bunch of clipped power into any sub no matter how fully loaded or gigantic motor it has the coil or the leads are gonna give up sooner or later among other stuff happening but if your smart you can put nasty power on either one of them. in the right box daily a 5 would probably take 5-6k with the proper everything and a smart volume knob.
