MOUZEBINN
I have $200 to spend on a SUB... these are the brand I've narrowed it down to: 2 x 12" Kicker CVR with Kicker BOX @ 600RMS 2ohm (300RMS per SUB 35% their RMS) 1 x 15" Kicker L5 4OHM @ 600RMS (600RMS to sub 85% its RMS) 1 x 15" Fi SSD 15" 1OHM @ 600RMS (600RMS to sub 80% of RMS) I don't really need any recommendations I don't about SQ I just want SPL and these are the 3 choices Ive seen that It hink are worth it... all are brand new. buying a vented box for eigther 15 I decide... I'm running a 600RMS Alpine MONO D sooo yeah... what would I get the most out of?/ If I get a 15 I plan on getting another 15 in the future when I upgrade my amp... right now im running two Kicker COMP 15's and im overpowering them they dont sound that great or pound that good... my seat doesnt fold down also, what would be my best bet on getting more airflow to my car without a new seat?? could I just make 1 bigass port hole between my rear speakers? AI James
actually the ssd sounds better then the seXXX imo...id take the SSD far before a sexxx but the sd2.5 is a viable option imo
brewer_brewer
i second that. i actually really like the sound of the ssd. very smooth and natural sound to it. and it will get decently loud. Enellz
I had 2 12 SSDs a while back. I loved those damn things. Had 2 L5s before them, and when I switched to the SSDs they sound so much better and IMO the better overall sub. Also I had about 2K to them and they took them like a champ. Their clean and very smooth sounding with the right box. Their also underated and their recones are easy to get compared to *cough* *cough* Kicker *cough*. Decaf
is anyone payin attention to the 600w rms from an alpine...? who cares what ssds do on 1000w... it comes down to whats the best soundin and most efficient use of 600w rms max
raytard
kicker cvr box is the most popular box in the world for a reason, its loud and sounds good and they take a beating and 600 watts is 100% of that box's rms...those subs are 300 apiece rms, 600 for the box, or 1200 max (but from testing, 1000 watts for 30 secs frys them) Quote Build: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...hl=avalon+build monster/rockford/kicker/stinger cables, pioneer source, jbl highs/amps, kinetik/shuriken batts, iraggi alt, dei security, dc subs(atleast for now) Team DC
