aggballeralex Posted December 5, 2009 Report Share Posted December 5, 2009 Today I finally started on my build. I've been searching around a lot to see what I wanted to build. I have big plans for this build. For right now I have decided on this: Orion HCCA 12" 2ohm sub HiFonics Brutus 2610D Kinetik HC 1200 up front Havent decided on the batteries in back yet. I plan on doing ALL my doors, since this is a 4d. I am going with a 6.5" woofer in both front doors along with 2 more 6.5" speakers and 2 tweets per door. Rear doors will have a set of 6.5's just for some filler. Probably going to put some 3.5's in the front pillars along with a set of tweets. The rear C pillars I haven't decided on what I want there yet, and I am up for any suggestions. The rear deck will have a set of 6x9's for again, more filler. Box will be sub foward, port foward facing into the cabin and sealed off from the trunk. Enough of the typing, here are some starter pics First of the car. She's a bit dirty in the first few, but the lighting was kinda cool so I snapped em. Gonna need A LOT of this! It's cold as tits outside, gotta be warm! Got everything cut tonight, then I got tired of breathing in saw dust, so I called it a night. Damn this is dirty work! Here's some voltage for ya. Without big 3 That's all for tonight. Mainly got the back and sides on, and pre-drilled a few holes. My next box will be birch, I have already decided. I dont like how the MDF likes to try and split on me sometimes. As of right now I think I'm going to glass the insides. Box already feels super strong, but with a 75+lb woofer I wanna be sure she isn't going anywhere. BTW, box design is from Accordman. Hit em up if you need one. Also, the box is 2.12 cubes at 35hz. 32sq in. of port if you didn't see my previous post. Since I am using 1" Dowels for support, I broke out the Forstner bit, and basically countersunk the dowel. I think it looks nicer. Just an example here of how it works. Orion HCCA! Hell yea! looking good. and I WANT YOUR WELDER!!!! haha! yeah it's a nice one. Not mine, my dad's though. Mainly for fabbin' custom motorcycle parts. I of course can get pics of that stuff too, if ya like I'll get the box closer to finish tomorrow. I'll probably leave the top off because I plan on glassin' the inside.
