Sorry about the slow updates everyone. Since I had to have surgery today it has put a hault on everything. Should be putting in an order for my sub this week elsewhere. Depending upon how I feel about it all in the next couple weeks I might go ahead and drop the cash for a 2nd amp, sub, and H/O alt. The hifonics 2610 says it can only be strapped at 2 ohms though. If I had 2 of them I would only be getting about 3krms @2ohms because they are a bit underrated. That would be underpowering these subs so IDK. Does anyone have any experience with these amplifiers? Anyone ever strapped them and run them at 1ohm? Thanks for any help.

Oh yeah. I got my trunk completely done and got in on the XS group buy. Couple pics for ya.

Small update. Since I've got a good month I can't work on the car and get everything in I've decided while I wait why not and GO BIGGER. Ordering up my 260amp alt from Iraggi this week. Also going to go ahead an get Another 2610D and a second HCCA 12. So Ill be doing Dual HCCA 12's @ 4500+RMS, depending on how well these amps do. Some people say they do rated at 14.5+V and some say they do underrated. either way these subs will be getting 2k+rms each. Time to design another box, and I'll probably order some more Knu 0 because I am going to want 2 runs of power and a run or 2 of ground to the back.

In other news, doing great after surgery...but not allowed to lift over 5lbs for another 3 weeks. More updates ASAP.

Well my alt should be here monday says UPS but right now I'm in a different predicament. I'm not sure if I am going to be able to Fit 2 HCCA'2 firing foward thru the back seat. 30" is about as wide as I can go that way and about 27" depth and 14.5" height. Not sure I can give these subs enough airspace this way. If I fire them to the rear I can use about 34" width and everything else the same. This is somewhat dissapointing but I'll see what I can get designed up and see if I can squeeze them in firing forward. I could always get 10's instead of 12's but IDK.....anyone have suggestions? You think they will be just as loud firing to the rear as they would be firing in the cabin?

edit: I'll stop being an idiot. I figured it out. they will fire into the cabin.

Well I was finally able to get some things done the other day. I knew it was gonna be a bitch but I didn't know it was gonna suck this bad....but the new alt is in. This was definitely NOT an easy install. I'll make sure my next vehicle has the alternator in an easier to access area.

Anyways...to install the alt we actually had to unbolt the motor mounts on the passenger side to get the alternator out of it's spot. It was fairly easy to get in there and unbolt everything but it was a major PITA to get the alt OUT from it's spot

Engine lowered:

And the last pic I took. Alt sitting there ready to be bolted on. At this point my buddy and I were just ready to get done as this took A LOT longer than we thought it was going to. Oh well it had to be done and it was done now.

Got all the "big 3" stuff done also. I will hopefully be getting a couple runs of 0 going in this coming weekend. Still waiting on subs for this build but should be in anytime now. I will probably be running a single 12 until i get the 2nd amp and sub in. No reason to be bassless until then.
