J Dubb
For an AudioQue 15" HDC3 series, there are 2 options for coils, copper and aluminum. Which should I get and why? What's the difference?

What's the difference? i owned the HDC3 10'' copper coils and IMO the alum is not a must have option unless you plan on throwing more then 2000rms to the sub, then you might want to think about it. i had a AQ3500d amp on the 2 10s and they were just fine 2 AQ 10'' HDC3 copper subs 1 3500d AQ amp 146.3db on TL with stock electrical in single cab truck at 32hz RESULT: 1st place at comp, 3rd overall out of 20 cars

mlstrass
alum coils are fine for daily. just base it off the power you plan to run. I've run an AQ3500 on copper or alum. Alum just takes the power better for daily and burps at .25ohm. Up to 2200watts I'd run copper as it's much more efficient and will get louder. Ben G.
I was also thinking about getting a pair of audio que woofers. probally the street duty 15s. So these sub woofers do sound pretty clean and nice?
