s-saudio Posted December 14, 2009 Author Report Share Posted December 14, 2009 Some birch steel and lexan for the roof a little bit of reserve.. not much tho clamped a reactive load tonight of 1.4 ohms, each amp was making 4450 watts car off. charging should be something around 5200-5500 watts. Witnessed 153+ on music so far. SPL during testing shook an rca out of an amp and overworked one of the drivers still hooked up and now it is making a strange noise at high volumes (sounds like something smacking the cone) I can't see any visible damage to it or hear anything strange when I push on the cone (no rubbing or ripped spiders???) Will update everyone when the new 5200s go in and when I figure out what is going on with the noise issue with the sub. Guess this is what you get when you put a true 10-11K on 3 inch coils when a sub comes disconnected vehicle should have over a 155 in it with these drivers once I get the time to dial things in after I figure out the issue with the sub. I didn't get any time really with it on the meter because he had to go home for work tomorrow and it was a 5 hour drive. I utilized every inch of room available. This is a more daily oriented enclosure at Jacobs request and is still tuned for daily (35hz). I will update when we get a chance to dial in tuning and a few other things.
