MECHMAN
The kintetiks do not have a re-enforced case or a steel shell. In hot conditions, the case will distort and it can swell up like a balloon. Do yourself a favor and use an XS power battery that is designed for underhood use. soundzright
I have had mine for a couple of years with NO issues. If you want a case for it they seem to offer affordable ones. http://www.kinetikaudio.com/2009/product.a...amp;P=KMS-KASES http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-KINETIK-KMS-18-MOU...=item518c332d18

An XS power D3400 will outperform it, has a three year warranty instead of 1 year, and are available for $239 shipped to your door. I'm just sayin...
