kinetik 1800 good for the hood?

Is it ok to put a kinetik 1800 under the hood on an 02 dodge durango, 4.7l v8, big 3, yellow top in the rear?

2002 Dodge durango 4.7L

Autopage 2 way remote start alarm system

2 AQ 15 Aluminum coils.

1 AQ2200D (soon to be 2).

8.5 cubes tuned to 38hz.

Yellow top under hood.

Kinetik 1800 in rear.

Big 3.

(H/O Alt Soon to come)

Kicker ZX200.4

Kicker 6.5 doors (blown)

RF 6.5 comp set (soon to come)

1 run of Stinger 1/0 guage (soon to be 3)

All of the above is all gone

Currently own a 2000 Pontiac Trans Am WS6

No audio components.

yeah a 1800 will be just fine i had one under the hood of my ram with a 5.2

ok guys i just went and bought an 1800 from my friend. it looks like it will fit under the hood. so thanks for the answers!

go measure the dimensions of the battery bay area under the hood, then compare them to the measurements you can find of the hc1800 on the interwebs

The kintetiks do not have a re-enforced case or a steel shell. In hot conditions, the case will distort and it can swell up like a balloon. Do yourself a favor and use an XS power battery that is designed for underhood use.

I have had mine for a couple of years with NO issues. If you want a case for it they seem to offer affordable ones.

$249 for the battery = $43 for the sleeve plus shipping puts you over $300.

An XS power D3400 will outperform it, has a three year warranty instead of 1 year, and are available for $239 shipped to your door. I'm just sayin...
